Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2292 — When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent out

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّارُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ أَبُو يَحْيَى صَاعِقَةَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الدَّهَّانُ، ثنا أَبُو مَرْيَمَ عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا بَعَثَ جُيُوشَهُ قَالَ: «بِسْمِ اللهِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ لَا تَغُلُّوا، وَلَا تُمَثِّلُوا، وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيدًا»
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent out his armies, he would say: "In the name of Allah, in the path of Allah, and upon the religion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Do not steal from the spoils, do not mutilate, and do not kill any child."
