Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2221 — We were with the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ح وثنا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، وَمَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ مِنْ شَهْرٍ، فَقَالَ: «أَتَرَوْنَ هَذَا الْقَمَرَ؟ فَإِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ رَبَّكُمْ كَمَا تَرَوْنَ هَذَا الْقَمَرَ لَا تُضَامُونَ فِي رُؤْيَتِهِ فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ فَلَا يُغْلَبَنَّ عَلَى صَلَاةٍ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا»
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the fourteenth night of the month when he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you see this moon? You will soon see your Lord just as you see this moon; you will have no difficulty in seeing Him. So whoever among you is able, let him by no means allow the prayer before the rising of the sun and before its setting to be missed."
