Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey when he (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at the moon on the night of the full moon and said: "On the Day of Resurrection you will see your Lord with your own eyes just as you see this; you will have no difficulty in seeing Him. So if you are able not to let the prayer before the rising of the sun and before the setting be missed, then do so." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "And glorify the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before the setting." [Surah Qaf: 39]
Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: In this hadith, the addition of the word "iyanan" (with your own eyes) was narrated by Abu Shihab alone, and he is a precise hafiz, one of the trustworthy (thiqat) Muslims.
