It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Qays bint Mihsan (may Allah be pleased with her) that she brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) a small son of hers, whose throat she had pressed because of a throat-gland swelling. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why do you torment your children by pressing their throats like this? Make use of this Indian wood, that is, qust, for in it there is healing for seven diseases, one of which is pleurisy (dhat al-janb)." Ubaydullah said: Umm Qays (may Allah be pleased with her) told me that her son urinated in the lap of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called for water and poured it over his urine, and he did not wash it.
