حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أُمُّ مَعْبَدٍ مَوْلَاةِ قَرَظَةَ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَتْ: " النَّقِيرُ أُصُولُ النَّخْلِ الْمُخَصَّرَةُ النَّابِتَةُ الَّتِي نَهَى عَنْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،
Sayyidah Umm Ma'bad, the freed slave-woman of Qarazah bin Ka'b, (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Naqir" is the hollowed-out parts of palm trunks which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade.
