حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أُمِّ مَعْبَدٍ مَوْلَاةِ قَرَظَةَ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَتْ: «الْحَنْتَمُ حَنَاتِمُ، يَكُونُ بِأَرْضِ الْعَجَمِ، فَهَذَا الَّذِي نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Sayyidah Umm Ma'bad, the freed slave-woman of Qarazah bin Ka'b, (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Hantam" are earthenware jars found in the land of the non-Arabs, and these are the vessels which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade.
