حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ، كَانَتْ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا وَهُوَ نَائِمٌ، فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَهُوَ يَضْحَكُ، فَقَالَتْ: أَيْ رَسُولَ اللهِ لَعَلَّكَ تَضْحَكُ مِنْ رَأْسِي؟ قَالَ: لَا «عُرِضَ عَلَيَّ قَوْمٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَرْكَبُونَ الْبَحْرَ غُزَاةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَثَلُهُمْ مَثَلُ الْمُلُوكِ عَلَى الْأَسِرَّةِ» ، قَالَتْ: ثُمَّ نَامَ فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَهُوَ يَضْحَكُ فَقَالَتْ: مَاذَا يُضْحِكُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «عُرِضَ عَلَيَّ قَوْمٌ يَرْكَبُونَ الْبَحْرَ غُزَاةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُونَ قَلِيلَةً غَنَائِمُهُمْ مَغْفُورٌ لَهُمْ» ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا مِنْهُمْ»
Ata' bin Yasar narrates from a woman who was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) one day while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was sleeping. Then he woke up laughing, and she said: O Messenger of Allah! Perhaps you are laughing at the state of my hair? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No. Some people of my Ummah were shown to me who will ride upon the sea fighting in the path of Allah; their likeness is that of kings seated on thrones." The narrator said: Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) slept again and woke up laughing, and she said: O Messenger of Allah! Why are you laughing? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Some people were shown to me who will ride upon the sea fighting in the path of Allah, then return with little war booty, and they will have been forgiven." I said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray to Allah to make me one of them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, make her one of them."
