حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ: أَنَّهُ أَتَى عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ، وَهُوَ فِي سَاحِلِ حِمْصٍ فِي بِنَاءٍ لَهُ وَمَعَهُ امْرَأَتُهُ أُمُّ حَرَامٍ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو: فَحَدَّثَتْنَا أُمُّ حَرَامٍ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «أَوَّلُ جَيْشٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَغْزُونَ هَذَا الْبَحْرَ قَدْ أَوْجَبُوا» ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ حَرَامٍ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَا مِنْهُمْ؟ فَقَالَ: «أَنْتِ مِنْهُمْ» ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَوَّلُ جَيْشٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَغْزُونَ مَدِينَةَ قَيْصَرَ مَغْفُورٌ لَهُمْ» ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ حَرَامٍ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَا مِنْهُمْ؟ قَالَ: لَا "

It is narrated from Amr bin al-Aswad that he came to Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him), who was on the coast of Hims in a building of his, and with him was his wife Umm Haram (may Allah be pleased with her). Amr said: Umm Haram (may Allah be pleased with her) told us that she heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The first army of my Ummah to fight in jihad on this sea has made Paradise due for itself." Umm Haram (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! Am I one of them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are one of them." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The first army of my Ummah to fight in jihad against the city of Caesar is forgiven." Umm Haram (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! Am I one of them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No."
