باب من يعرف من النساء بالكنى لمن لم ينته إلينا أسماؤهن ممن لهن صحبة فمنهن أم كلثوم بنت عقبة بن أبي معيط امرأة عبد الرحمن بن عوف — ما أسندت أم سليم
Chapter: Women known by their kunyahs whose names have not reached us, among the female Companions; among them is Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah bin Abi Mu'ayt (may Allah be pleased with her), wife of Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) — Reports Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُمَرَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ، تَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ يَمُوتُ لَهُمَا ثَلَاثَةُ أَوْلَادٍ، لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ، إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُمُ اللهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِفَضْلِ رَحْمَتِهِ إِيَّاهُمْ، فَقُلْتُ: وَاثْنَانِ؟ فَقَالَ: وَاثْنَانِ "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Any Muslim husband and wife who have three children die before reaching puberty, Allah will admit them into Paradise by the bounty of His mercy." I asked: "And two?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And two as well."
