Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said, regarding the saying of Allah Almighty, "And that they will not disobey you in what is right" [Surah al-Mumtahanah: 12]: Included in it is the prohibition of wailing. When we pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that we would not disobey him in what is right, I said to him: O Messenger of Allah! Except for the family of so-and-so.
