حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الضَّبِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ، أَنَّهَا دَخَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ فَأَتَانِي بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ وَسَقَاها، قَالَتْ: إِنِّي كُنْتُ صَائِمَةً، وَلَكِنِّي كَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَرُدَّ عَلَيْكَ شَرَابُكَ، قَالَ: «كُنْتِ تَقْضِينَ؟» قُلْتُ: لَا، قَالَ: «لَا يَضُرُّكِ»
Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) brought a drink; he (peace and blessings be upon him) drank from it and also gave her to drink. She said: I was fasting, but I disliked returning your drink to you. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Were you making up a fast?" I said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then it does you no harm."
