حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا مِسْعَرُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ أُمُّ هَانِئٍ: «إِنِّي كُنْتُ لَأَسْمَعُ صَوْتَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَرِيشَتِي - يَعْنِي - قِرَاءَتَهُ فِي صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ» وَأَبُو الْعَلَاءِ الَّذِي رَوَى عَنْهُ مِسْعَرٌ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ هُوَ هِلَالُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ "
Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I used to hear the voice of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while I was on my raised place (roof), meaning his recitation in the night prayer." (The narrator said:) And Abu al-Ala', from whom Mis'ar narrated this hadith, is Hilal bin Khabbab.
