Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 21307 — We went in to Fatimah bint Qays
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ التُّسْتَرِيُّ الْبَزَّازُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ أَبُو زَيْدٍ الْهَرَوِيُّ، ثنا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَامِرٌ الشَّعْبِيُّ، قَالَ: دَخَلْنَا عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ، فَسَأَلْنَاهَا عَنِ الْمُطَلَّقَةِ ثَلَاثًا، أَيْنَ تَعْتَدُّ؟ فَقَالَتْ: «أَذِنَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ طَلَّقَنِي بِعْلِي أَنْ أَعْتَدَّ فِي أَهْلِي»
Amir al-Sha'bi said: We went in to Fatimah bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her) and asked her where a woman divorced three times should spend her waiting period. She said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me permission, when my husband had divorced me, to spend my waiting period among my own family."
