It is narrated from Sayyidah Fatimah bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her) that one night the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delayed the Isha prayer, then came out and said: "I was held back by an account that Tamim al-Dari used to relate to me about a man who was on one of the islands of the sea. He came upon a woman who was dragging her hair. He asked: 'What are you?' She said: 'I am al-Jassasah. Are you amazed at me?' He said: 'Yes.' She said: 'Go to that palace.' So he went to it, and there he found a man dragging his hair, bound in chains, leaping between the sky and the earth. He asked him: 'What are you?' He said: 'I am the Dajjal. Has the Prophet of the unlettered people appeared?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Did the people obey him or disobey him?' He said: 'No, rather they obeyed him.' He said: 'That is better for them. And have the waters dried up?'"
