حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ كِلَاهُمَا، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، قَالَتْ: «لَمَّا اطْمَأَنَّ النَّاسُ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ طَافَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ يَسْتَلِمُ الْحَجَرَ بِمِحْجَنٍ بِيَدِهِ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ، فَرَأَى جَمَاعَةَ عِيدَانٍ فَقَامَ فَكَسَرَهَا، ثُمَّ رَمَاهَا، وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ»
Sayyidah Safiyyah bint Shaybah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: When the people had settled down on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed tawaf riding on a camel, touching the Black Stone with a hooked staff in his hand. Then he entered the Ka'bah while I was watching. He saw some pieces of wood, so he stood up, broke them and then threw them away, while I was watching.
