حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ السَّقَطِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَزْرَقِ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي الرَّبِيعُ بِنْتُ مُعَوِّذِ ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةُ، قَالَتْ: «كُنَّا نَغْزُو مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَا نُقَاتِلُ، وَلَكِنْ نَسْقِيهِمْ مِنَ الْمَاءِ، وَنُدَاوِي الْجَرْحَى»
Sayyidah Rubayyi' bint Mu'awwidh bin Afra' al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: We used to go out on military expeditions with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). We did not fight; rather, we gave the fighters water to drink and treated the wounded.
