Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 21020 — I said: O Messenger of Allah, does anger

Sayyidah Umm al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, does anger cause harm? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, just as (beating its branches to strip the leaves) harms a tree."
