Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 21002 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا جُمْهُورُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ، ثنا الصَّلْتُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَزَرِيُّ، عَنِ الْوَازِعِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتِ الْيَمَانِ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَا خَيْرَ فِي جَمَاعَةِ النِّسَاءِ إِلَّا عِنْدَ مَيِّتٍ فَإِنَّهُنَّ إِذَا اجْتَمَعْنَ قُلْنَ وَقُلْنَ»
Sayyidah Khawlah bint al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There is no good in women gathering together except in the presence of a deceased person, for when they gather, they keep on making idle talk."
