حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ الْقَطِيعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُوعَكُ وَقَدْ عَلَّقَ سِقَاءً يَقْطُرُ عَلَى فُؤَادِهِ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا هَذَا؟، فَقَالَ: «إِنَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ يُضَاعَفُ عَلَيْنَا الْبَلَاءُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Khawlah bint al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with her), the sister of Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), that she said: I went in to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) had a fever, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) had hung up a water-skin from which water was dripping onto his (peace and blessings be upon him) chest. I said: O Messenger of Allah, what is this? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For us, the company of prophets, trials are doubled."
