حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا غُنْدَرٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ، عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ، عَنْ أُخْتِ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَتْ: خَطَبَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ أَمَا لَكُنَّ فِي الْوَرِقِ مَا تَكْتَفِينَ بِهِ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْكُنَّ تَحَلَّى الذَّهَبَ فَتُظْهِرَهُ إِلَّا عُذِّبَتْ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
Sayyidah Khawlah bint al-Yaman al-Absiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), the sister of Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), said: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us and said: "O women, is silver not sufficient for you? Any one of you who wears gold and displays it will be punished for it on the Day of Resurrection."
