حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ، عَنْ أُخْتِ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَتْ: خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ أَمَا لَكُنَّ فِي الْوَرِقِ مَا تَكْتَفِينَ بِهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْكُنَّ امْرَأَةٌ تَحَلَّى بِالذَّهَبِ فَتُظْهِرَهُ إِلَّا عُذِّبَتْ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
Sayyidah Khawlah bint al-Yaman al-Absiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), the sister of Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us and said: "O women, is silver not sufficient for you? Any woman among you who wears gold and displays it will be punished for it on the Day of Resurrection."
