حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا بَشَّارُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ، عَنْ أُخْتِ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَتْ: خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ أَمَا لَكُنَّ فِي الْوَرِقِ مَا يَكْفِيكُنَّ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنِ امْرَأَةٍ تَحَلَّى ذَهَبًا تُظْهِرُهُ إِلَّا عُذِّبَتْ بِهِ»
Sayyidah Khawlah bint al-Yaman al-Absiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), the sister of Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us and said: "O women, is silver not sufficient for you? Any woman who wears gold and displays it will be punished for it."
