حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، أَوْ عَبْدِ اللهِ مَوْلَى أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنَّهَا أَخْرَجَتْ إِلَيْهِ جُبَّةً طَيَالِسَةً مِنْ دِيبَاجٍ فَقَالَتْ: «هَذِهِ جُبَّةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمَّا قُبِضَ كَانَتْ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ، فَلَمَّا قُبِضَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَخَذْتُهَا فَهِيَ عِنْدِي تَغْسِلُهَا لِلْمَرِيضِ يُسْتَشْفَى بِهَا»
Sayyidah Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) brought out before her freed slave a tayalisi cloak trimmed with brocade (silk) and said: "This is the cloak of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, it was with Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her); then when Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away, I took it. So it is with me; I wash it and give it to the sick to seek healing through it."
