حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، تَقُولُ: أَتَتْنِي أُمِّي وَهِيَ رَاغِبَةٌ فِي عَهْدِ قُرَيْشٍ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَصِلُهَا؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: My mother came to me, hoping (for my kindness), during the time of the treaty with Quraysh. I said: O Messenger of Allah! Shall I maintain ties with her? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes."
