وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ وَقَدْ جَعَلْتُ عَلَى عَيْنِي صَبْرًا فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ؟» فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّمَا هُوَ صَبْرٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَيْسَ فِيهِ طِيبٌ، فَقَالَ: «إِنَّهُ يُشَبِّبُ الْوَجْهَ فَاجْعَلِيهِ بِاللَّيْلِ، وَانْزِعِيهِ بِالنَّهَارِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me when Abu Salamah passed away, and I had applied aloe (sabir) to my eye. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is this, Umm Salamah?" I said: O Messenger of Allah! It is only aloe; there is no perfume in it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It makes the face look youthful, so apply it at night and remove it in the day."
