Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2024 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، ثنا نَاصِحٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: «مَنْ أَشْقَى ثَمُودَ» ؟ قَالَ: مَنْ عَقَرَ النَّاقَةَ، قَالَ: «فَمَنْ أَشَقَى هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ؟» قَالَ: اللهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَالَ: «قَاتِلُكَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): "Who was the most wretched of the people of Thamud?" He said: "The one who hamstrung the she-camel." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then who will be the most wretched of this Ummah?" He said: "Allah knows best." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your killer."
