Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2023 — the Companions said: O Messenger

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، ثنا نَاصِحٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ يَحْمِلُ رَايَتَكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؟ قَالَ: «مَنْ يُحْسِنُ أَنْ يَحْمِلَهَا إِلَّا مَنْ حَمَلَهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah, who will carry your banner on the Day of Resurrection?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Only the one who carried it in this world can carry it well, namely Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him)."
