حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا نَاصِحٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ دَفَنَ ثَلَاثَةً مِنَ الْوَلَدِ فَصَبَرَ عَلَيْهِمْ واحْتَسَبَهُمْ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ» ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ: أَوِ اثْنَيْنِ، قَالَ: «وَمَنْ دَفَنَ اثْنَيْنِ فَصَبَرَ عَلَيْهِمَا واحْتَسَبَهُما وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ» ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ: أَوْ وَاحِدَةٌ؟ قَالَ: فَسَكَتَ أَوْ أَمْسَكَ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ أَيْمَنَ: «مَنْ دَفَنَ وَاحِدًا فَصَبَرَ وَاحْتَسَبَ كَانَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever buries three of his children, and is patient over them and hopes for reward, Paradise becomes obligatory for him." Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Or two?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever buries two, and is patient over them and hopes for reward, Paradise becomes obligatory for him too." Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Or one?" The narrator said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent, or held back.
(The narrator) said: I heard Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) say: "Whoever buries one, and is patient and hopes for reward, Paradise is his as well."
