Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2016 — A young man used to serve the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، ثنا نَاصِحٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ شَابٌّ يَخْدُمُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيُخِفُّ فِي حَوَائِجِهِ، فَقَالَ: «سَلْنِي حَاجَةً» ، فَقَالَ: ادْعُ اللهَ تَعَالَى لِي بِالْجَنَّةِ، قَالَ: فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَتَنَفَّسَ وَقَالَ: «نَعَمْ وَلَكِنْ أَعِنِّي بِكَثْرَةِ السُّجُودِ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A young man used to serve the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and was quick in attending to his (peace and blessings be upon him) needs. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Ask me for something you need." He said: "Supplicate to Allah Almighty for Paradise for me." The narrator said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his head, took a breath and said: "Very well, but help me (in that) by prostrating abundantly."
