حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: " يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ اللهَ يَذْكُرُ الرِّجَالَ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، وَلَا يَذْكُرُنَا، فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ {إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ} [الأحزاب: ٣٥] الْآيَةَ إِلَى آخِرِهَا "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! Allah Almighty mentions men in everything, yet does not mention us? So Allah Almighty revealed this verse: "Indeed, the Muslim men and the Muslim women, the believing men and the believing women" [Surah al-Ahzab: 35] to the end of the verse.
