Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and I said: Would you like my sister, the daughter of Abu Sufyan? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What should I do?" I said: Marry her. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your sister?" I said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would you like that?" I said: Yes, I do not have you to myself alone, and what I would love most - or she said: the one most entitled - is that my sister share this good with me. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then she is not lawful for me." She said: By Allah! I have been told that you are proposing to Durrah bint Abi Salamah. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The daughter of Abu Salamah?" I said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Allah! Even if she were not my stepdaughter raised under my care, she would not be lawful for me; she is the daughter of my foster brother. Thuwaybah nursed both me and him, so do not present your daughters and your sisters to me."
