حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ الْقَنَّادُ، ثنا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: " صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأُولَى ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ، وَخَرَجْتُ مَعَهُ فَاسْتَقْبَلَهُ وِلْدَانُ الْمَدِينَةِ فَجَعَلَ يَمْسَحُ خَدَّيْ أَحَدِهِمْ وَاحِدًا وَاحِدًا قَالَ: وَأَمَّا فَمَسَحَ خَدِّي فَوَجَدْتُ لِيَدِهِ بَرْدًا ورِيحًا كَأَنَّمَا أَخْرَجَهَا مِنْ جُونَةِ عَطَّارٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I prayed the first prayer (Zuhr) with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), then he (peace and blessings be upon him) went out towards his family, and I went out with him (peace and blessings be upon him). On the way the children of Madinah came out to meet him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) began stroking their cheeks one by one. He said: Then when he (peace and blessings be upon him) stroked my cheek, I felt in his (peace and blessings be upon him) hand such coolness and fragrance as if it had just been taken out of a perfume-seller's case.
