Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1930 — When Ibn al-Dahdah died, the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: «لَمَّا مَاتَ ابْنُ الدَّحْدَاحِ تَبِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِنَازَتَهُ، فَلَمَّا دُفِنَ وَفَرَغَ مِنْهُ، أُتِيَ بِفَرَسٍ فَرَكِبَهُ فَرَجَعَ عَلَيْهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When Ibn al-Dahdah (may Allah be pleased with him) died, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) followed his funeral. When he had been buried and they had finished with it, a horse was brought; he (peace and blessings be upon him) mounted it and returned riding on it.
