حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ حَفْصٍ، وغَيْرِهِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: «تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَدِيجَةَ بِمَكَّةَ، وَهِيَ أَوَّلُ امْرَأَةٍ تَزَوَّجَ، وَكَانَتْ قَبْلَهُ عِنْدَ أَبِي هَالَةَ التَّمِيمِيِّ وَتَزَوَّجَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً، وَتُوُفِّيَتْ لِسَبْعٍ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ مَبْعَثِهِ» قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ: وَحَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُؤَمِّلِيُّ أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ أَسَدٍ زَوَّجَ خَدِيجَةَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَزَوَّجَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً وَقُرَيْشٌ تَبْنِي الْكَعْبَةَ، قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ: وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَنٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: نَكَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَبْعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ: وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ أَسَدٍ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَخْطُبُ خَدِيجَةَ بِنْتَ خُوَيْلِدٍ هَذَا الْفَحْلُ لَا يُقْرَعُ أَنْفُهُ قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ: وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ فُلَيْحٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ: كَانَتْ خَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ، ثُمَّ نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ، وَهِيَ عِنْدَهُ وَهِيَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ صَدَّقَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَآمَنَتْ بِهِ وَتُوُفِّيَتْ بِمَكَّةَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ بِثَلَاثِ سِنِينَ
Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) in Makkah, and she was his (peace and blessings be upon him) first wife. Before him (peace and blessings be upon him) she had been married to Abu Halah al-Tamimi. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married her at the age of twenty-one, and she died seven years after his (peace and blessings be upon him) prophethood began. Al-Zubayr said: Umar bin Abi Bakr al-Mu'ammili told me that Amr bin Asad married Khadijah to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married her when he (peace and blessings be upon him) was twenty-five years old and Quraysh were rebuilding the Ka'bah. Al-Zubayr said: Muhammad bin Hasan told me, through Khalid bin Isma'il, from Ibn Jurayj, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made this marriage at the age of thirty-seven. Al-Zubayr said: Muhammad bin Hasan told me, through Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Yahya bin Urwah, from his father, that Amr bin Asad said: Muhammad bin Abdullah is asking for the hand of Khadijah bint Khuwaylid; this is a (noble) stallion whose nose is not struck (that is, his proposal cannot be turned down). Al-Zubayr said: Muhammad bin Hasan told me, through Muhammad bin Fulayh, from Yazid bin Iyad, from Ibn Shihab, that Khadijah bint Khuwaylid was married to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from before the Qur'an was revealed to him (peace and blessings be upon him); then the Qur'an was revealed to him (peace and blessings be upon him) while she was married to him (peace and blessings be upon him). She was the very first person to affirm the truth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and believe in him (peace and blessings be upon him), and she died in Makkah three years before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) emigrated to Madinah.
