حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا زُهَيْرٌ، ثنا سِمَاكٌ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ، عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: «كَانَ يَخِفُّ بِهِمْ وَلَا يُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ هَؤُلَاءِ»
Simak bin Harb said: I asked Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) used to lead the people in a light prayer, and he did not pray like the (long) prayer of these people.
