حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: دَخَلَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ فَرَآهَا قَدِ اكْتَحَلَتْ وَلَبِسَتْ صَبِيغًا، يَعْنِي فِي حَجِّهِمْ، مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهَا: مَنْ أَمَرَكِ بِهَذَا؟ قَالَتْ: رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: فَانْطَلَقْتُ مُحَرِّشًا عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ مُسْتَفْتِيًا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «صَدَقَتْ صَدَقَتْ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) went in to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) and saw that she had applied kohl and was wearing dyed clothing, that is, during their Hajj with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said to her: Who told you to do this? She said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to seek a ruling, in order to stir him against Fatimah, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She has spoken the truth, she has spoken the truth."
