Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) while Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was standing and she was lying down, with her sons beside her. Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) asked for water. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went to a milch she-camel and milked it for them, then brought it. Then Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) woke up and began trying to drink before Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him), until he cried. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your brother asked for water before you." Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: It is as if Hasan is dearer to you. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is not dearer to me than him; rather, the two of them are at one and the same rank with me. And I, you, these two and this sleeper will be in one and the same place on the Day of Resurrection."
