حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الْمَازِنِيُّ، ثنا كَثِيرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ سَلِيطٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي الْمِقْدَامِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي فَاخِتَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَنَا نَائِمٌ فَاسْتَسْقَى الْحَسَنُ، فَقَامَ إِلَى مَسْحَةٍ لَنَا نكيهِ فِيضَ مِنْهَا، ثُمَّ جَاءَ بِالْإِنَاءِ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ الْحُسَيْنُ يَسْتَسْقِيهِ، فَقَالَ: «أَخُوكَ اسْتَسْقَى قَبْلَكَ يَشْرَبُ ثُمَّ تَشْرَبُ» ، فَقَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ: كَأَنَّهُ أَحَبُّهُمَا إِلَيْكَ فَقَالَ: «مَا هُوَ بِأَحَبِّهِمَا إِلَيَّ وَإِنَّهُمَا عِنْدِي لَبِمَكانٍ وَاحِدٍ فَإِنِّي وَإِيَّاكَ وَهُمَا وَهَذَا الرَّاقِدُ لَفِي مَكَانٍ وَاحِدٍ»
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us while I was asleep. Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) asked for water, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) got up and went to one of our milking animals, then brought the vessel. Then Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) also stood up to ask him for water, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your brother asked before you; let him drink, then you drink." Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: It is as if he is the more beloved of the two to you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is not the more beloved of the two to me; the two of them are at one and the same place with me. And I, you, these two and this sleeper are in one and the same place."
