حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا سُلَيْمَانَ، مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَهُ: أَنَّ أَبَا الرَّمْدَاءَ الْبَلَوِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَأَتَوْا بِهِ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَضُرِبَ، ثُمَّ شَرِبَ الثَّانِيَةَ فَأَتَوْا بِهِ فَضَرَبَهُ، فَلَا أَدْرِي قَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ أُمِرَ بِهِ فَجُعِلَ عَلَى الْعِجْلِ فَضَرَبْتُ عُنُقَهُ
Sayyiduna Abu al-Ramda' al-Balawi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man from among his people drank wine, so they brought him to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he was punished. Then he drank a second time, so they brought him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) punished him. (The narrator said:) I do not know whether he said the third time or the fourth time, that he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave an order concerning him, so he was seated on a calf, and I struck off his head.
