من يكنى أبا يزيد أبو يزيد غير منسوب وقد اختلف الرواة فقالوا ابن يزيد والصواب ابن أبي يزيد
Those with the kunyah Abu Yazid — Abu Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him), lineage unknown; the narrators differ, some saying Ibn Yazid, but the correct form is Ibn Abi Yazid
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 19095 — from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْجَزَرِيُّ، ثنا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ رَوْحِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ
Yazid bin Abi Hakim narrates from his father, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), a similar hadith.
