حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَاقِدِيُّ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ النُّعْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ دِرْعَيْنِ»
Sayyiduna Abu al-Nu'man al-Azdi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wearing two coats of mail on the day of the Battle of Uhud.
