حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ: مَرَرْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا مُتَخَلِّقٌ، فَقَالَ: «يَا يَعْلَى، أَلَكَ امْرَأَةٌ؟» قُلْتُ: لَا، قَالَ: «فَاذْهَبْ فَاغْسِلْهُ، ثُمَّ اغْسِلْهُ، ثُمَّ اغْسِلْهُ، ثُمَّ لَا تَعُدْ» ، قَالَ: فَغَسَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ غَسَلْتُهُ، ثُمَّ غَسَلْتُهُ، ثُمَّ لَمْ أَعُدْ
Sayyiduna Ya'la bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while I was wearing perfume, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Ya'la, do you have a wife?" I said: "No." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go and wash it off, then wash it off, then wash it off, and do not do it again." He said: I washed it, then washed it, then washed it, and I did not do it again.
