حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا فَهِدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ أَبُو رَبِيعَةَ، ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ شَجَرَةَ، أَنَّه قَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنَّ الدُّنْيَا قَدْ أَصْبَحْتْ وَأَمْسَتْ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَخْضَرَ وَأَحْمَرَ وَأَصْفَرَ وَفِي الْبُيُوتِ مَا فِيهَا، فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الْعَدُوَّ فَقَدِّمَا قَدَمًا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَا تَقَدَّمَ رَجُلٌ خُطْوَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ إِلَّا اِطَّلَعْنَ إِلَيْهِ الْحُورُ الْعِينُ، وَإِنْ تَأَخَّرَ اَسْتَحْيَيْنَ مِنْهُ واسْتَتَرْنَ مِنْهُ، فَإِنْ اسْتُشْهِدَ كَانَتْ أَوَّلُ شَجَّةٍٍ مِنْ دَمِهِ كَفَّارَةٌ لِخَطَايَاهُ، وَتَنْزِلُ إِلَيْهِ ثِنْتَانِ مِنَ الحُورِ الْعِينِ فَتَنْفُضَانِ التُّرَابَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ، وَتَقُولَانِ: مَرْحَبًا قَد أَنَى لَكَ، وَيَقُولُ هُو: مَرْحَبًا بِكُمَا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Yazid bin Shajarah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: O people, the world, morning and evening, remains among green, red and yellow, and in the houses there is what there is. So when you meet the enemy, step forward, for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No man takes even a single step forward in the path of Allah except that the wide-eyed maidens (hur al-'in) look out towards him; and if he draws back, they feel shy of him and veil themselves from him. Then if he is martyred, the first wound of his blood becomes an expiation for his sins, and two of the wide-eyed maidens descend to him, shake the dust off his face and say: 'Welcome! Now the time has come!' And he says: 'Welcome to you both.'"
