حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، أَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ السُّوَائِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَصَلَّى الْفَجْرَ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْخَيْفِ فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ إِذَا رَجُلَانِ فِي مُؤَخَّرِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَأُتِيَ بِهِمَا تَرْعَدُ فَرَائِصُهُمَا قَالَ: «مَا لَكُمَا لَمْ تُصَلِّيَا مَعَنَا؟» فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّيْنَا فِي رِحَالِنَا ثُمَّ جِئْنَا وَأَنْتَ تُصَلِّي فَجَلَسْنَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُم فِي رَحْلِهِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ وَالْإِمَامُ يُصَلِّي فَلْيُصَلِّ مَعَهُ فَإِنَّهَا لَه نَافِلَةٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Yazid bin al-Aswad al-Suwa'i (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during the Farewell Hajj. He (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Fajr prayer in Masjid al-Khayf, and when he had completed the prayer, two men were seen in the back part of the mosque. They were brought while their bodies were trembling. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you two not pray with us?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah, we had prayed in our camp; then we came while you were leading the prayer, so we sat down." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you has prayed in his camp and then comes while the imam is leading the prayer, let him pray with him as well; it will be a voluntary (nafl) prayer for him."
