Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18706 — the Prophet ﷺ said: Indeed, Allah has

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Shurayh (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah has made Makkah sacred; people did not make it sacred. So it is not permissible for anyone who believes in Allah and the Last Day to shed blood in it, nor to cut down any of its trees. If anyone considers it permissible and says that it was made lawful for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then (know that) Allah made it lawful for me only for an hour of a day, and did not make it lawful for anyone other than me. Then it is sacred as it was before. O Khuza'ah, you have killed this slain man from Hudhayl, and by Allah, I am the one who will pay his blood money. So whoever kills anyone here after this, his heirs have the choice between two options: if they wish, they may kill, and if they wish, they may take the blood money."
