Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18406 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: In place

حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْمُجَوِّزُ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أُعْطِيتُ مَكَانَ التَّوْرَاةِ السَّبْعَ، وَأُعْطِيتُ مَكَانَ الزَّبُورِ الْمَثَانِيَ، وَفُضِّلْتُ بِالْمُفَصَّلِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wathilah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In place of the Torah I was given the Seven Long (Surahs) (al-Sab' al-Tiwal); in place of the Zabur I was given the Mathani; and I was granted superiority through the Mufassal (Surahs)."
