حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، وَأَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، وَعِنْدَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ، سَمِعَا وَرَّادًا، كَاتَبَ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ: اكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَاةِ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ صَلَاتِهِ: «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ، وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»
Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to al-Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him): Write to me something that you heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say after the prayer. So he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say after his prayer: "There is no true god except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner; His is the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the greatness of one who has greatness avails him nothing against You."
