Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17952 — he asked the Prophet ﷺ about levelling

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ الْقَزَّازُ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ، ثنا هَمَّامٌ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُعَيْقِيبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمَسْحِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَقَالَ: «وَاحِدَةً وَإِلَّا فَذَرْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'ayqib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about levelling (the pebbles) during the prayer, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do it once, or else leave it."
