Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17950 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said concerning
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَشْيَبُ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَيْقِيبٌ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يُسَوِّي الْحَصَا وَالتُّرَابَ حَيْثُ يَسْجُدُ قَالَ: «إِنْ كُنْتَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَوَاحِدَةً»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'ayqib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said concerning a man who levels the pebbles and dust where he prostrates: "If you must do it, then do it only once."
