Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17949 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If you
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ، وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ الْحَوْطِيَّانِ قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُعَيْقِيبٌ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنْ كُنْتَ فَاعِلًا فَمَرَّةً» يَعْنِي مَسْحَ الْحَصَى
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'ayqib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you must do it, then only once" - he said this regarding moving aside (levelling) the pebbles.
